Indian Premier League 2019 will commence from March 23. BCCI confirmed that the IPL 12 will be held in India only. All the eight IPL franchises have selected their team players and are preparing to win the upcoming IPL title.

Rajasthan based IPL franchise Rajasthan Royalshas appointed Paddy Upton as its head coach. Paddy Upton was the coach at Rajasthan Royals from 2013 to 2015. Then in 2016 and 2017, he moved to Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) as a part of the team’s support staff. He has also guided Pune Warriors XI in the IPL 2012.

Manoj Badale who is the Owner of Rajasthan Royals said, “It gives us immense pleasure to announce Paddy joining the team. We welcome him back to the Royals Family. Paddy is someone who is well versed with the culture of Rajasthan Royals and he knows what it takes to achieve success in international sport at the highest level.”

Manoj Badale also said that they cannot wait for the season to begin and are so pleased that the BCCI has confirmed that the IPL will be held entirely in India.

Zubin Bharucha who is the head of Rajasthan Royals said that the experience and knowledge that Paddy Upton brings to the table is unparalleled. He said, “As a coach, mentor and scientific trainer, Paddy Upton is well versed with the rigors of modern day sport. We are thrilled to have him back in our team and can’t wait to put on our pads and get going in the new season,”.

The 50-year-old Paddy Upton will now once again guide the franchise for the 2019 Indian Premier League. Under his guidance, Rajasthan Royals had reached the semi-finals in IPL 2013.
