Former Australian Cricketer Michael Hussey who is widely known as Mr. Cricket believes that Team India will greatly miss the services of all-rounder Hardik Pandya.

Hardik Pandya will be missing the series against Australia as he is suffering a lower back injury during the Asia Cup in Dubai in September. He is on the road to recovery and is currently undergoing rehabilitation. Pandya due to his injury also missed the complete series against West Indies.

Everyone is talking about the absence of Australia’s Steve Smith and David Warner who are serving a year-long ban due to their involvement in ball-tampering but Hussey said that all-rounder Hardik Pandya’s absence can prove to be a big factor for India.

Michael Hussey told that he thinks Hardik is a wonderful talent and he is sure Hardik game style would have been suited to the Australian conditions. Apart from that, the balance Hardik offers to the team with his all-round abilities is additional and he thinks that India will miss Pandya’s absence.

Hussey feels that the young talents like Prithvi Shaw, Hanuma Vihari and Rishabh Pant will find it difficult to play with Australian bowlers as this is their first tour with the senior team. He also thinks that India has a good chance to clinch the series as India have an excellent team with some very good fast bowlers.

But he also thinks that Australia’s bowling attack is world class and it will challenge the Indian team, particularly the younger players in Australian conditions. He concluded saying that Australia always plays well at home and hence will be very hard to beat.

India’s Tour of Australia will begin from the 21st day of November at The Gabba, Brisbane with its very first T20I match of the three-match T20I series. The tour will also consist of four-match Test series and three-match ODI series. To get the latest updates and live cricket score for the forthcoming matches, click here.
